Jama Masjid is also known as Jami Masjid, ?Friday Mosque is one of the largest mosque in India, This mosque was built by Shah Jahan in 1648 with red sand stone and with little use of white marble , The Mosque is attributed to Shah Jahan?s daughter , Princes Jahanara Begum. The mosque is one of the citys main landmarks. It coasted 5 Lacks rupees at that time for its completion. There was a specious octagonal chowk which exist between jama Masjid and the Delhi Gate of the Agra Fort.
